Our Story

Our story dates back to 1997 when our founders, twin brothers Ricky & RaeQwan Jordan, entered the world.

Rae was born with spina bifida and paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors painted a grim picture of his future, predicting a short life filled with complications. But Rae, a man of unwavering determination and an infectious smile, had other plans. He approached life with a spirit that refused to be confined by the boundaries of his condition. Over nearly three decades, he endured more than 20 surgeries, each one a testament to his resilience.

Through the toughest of times, Rae wore a smile that radiated hope and carried a perspective many would find hard to fathom. He believed that life’s challenges were not obstacles but stepping stones toward something greater.

At birth, Ricky was also diagnosed with spina bifida occulta. Unlike his brother, he was able to move his legs at full function—walking, crawling, and growing without the same physical limitations. But Ricky’s journey brought challenges of its own. At just 14 years old, he was incarcerated and spent seven years in prison, from age 14 to 21. What could have broken him instead became the foundation for a life of purpose. Today, Ricky is an active member of coalitions and networks dedicated to bettering the community, proving that no past mistake defines the entirety of one’s future.

In 2019, Ricky & Rae  embarked on a mission that would touch countless lives. He founded a nonprofit organization that crafted handmade fleece blankets, each a labor of love and dedication. These blankets, warm and soft, carried a piece of their indomitable spirit with them. Hundreds found their way to cancer centers, hospitals, domestic violence shelters, and homeless shelters, offering comfort to those who needed it most.

But their hearts was not satisfied. They dreamed of doing more, giving more. And so began our holiday initiatives “ Thanks For Giving “ and the “Angels On Earth” holiday giveaway. Every year, families, children, and seniors who were struggling to make ends meet received not only food and clothes but also the gift of hope.

Together, Ricky and Rae’s journeys show two sides of resilience: one overcoming lifelong medical challenges, the other rising above the weight of early mistakes. Both chose not only to survive but to serve. Their story is proof that you can overcome anything while still uplifting others.
